About the Poet.
Mary Frances Baugh has published over seventy-five nonfiction articles. Her poetry has appeared in magazines and journals, including California Quarterly, Evansville Review, and Out of Line. She was a correspondent for the state arts magazine, as well as restaurant critic for the Sunday Courier and Press in Evansville, Indiana. With a degree in Elementary Education from the University of Michigan and a MA degree in Humanities from the University of Evansville, she has taught at every level Her passions include writing and reading poetry and good novels, music, art, gardening, the environment, and education. She is also deeply concerned with issues that affect women and children, such as poverty, hunger, abuse, and needless war. She prays for God's redemption of this troubled time for the United States and the world. Mary Frances lives and writes at home on Lake Erie in Fairview, Pennsylvania, next to her grandmother's house where she spent summers as a child. She is a member of the International Women’s Writing Guild. |
